Gah, indeed! I had completely forgotten that this year is a leap year, and so several times in the last few weeks when I’ve mentally calculated the day of the week for various March dates, I’ve probably been off by one day. Fortunately I’ve looked at a calendar for anything really important, but still, it’s annoying.
I’m not one to forget when a leap day occurs, usually (whenever the year is a multiple of 4, except when it’s a multiple of 100, unless it’s a multiple of 400, and we don’t go any more precise than that), but I simply forgot even to think about it. (Actually, it’s worse than that–at one point I caught myself using 30 days for February; then I corrected it to 28.)
So anyway, Happy Leap Day! Leap over obstacles! Make a leap of faith (maybe)! Make a mental leap! Leap to conclusions! And don’t forget it’s not March yet!
When it was Friday, and it was still February, I just completely locked down. Like, it was an extra day, a throwaway day, a day in the life…
